My Blog Spark

Not too long ago DiPaola Momma told me about MyBlogSpark. I was excited to hear about their program and decided to join.

From their page:

"MyBlogSpark™ is a fun and exciting group of bloggers that have access to review new products and services and participate in exciting giveaways, surveys and events. The network provides “Sparks” of information directly to its members from some of the best known consumer brands in the country. "

I'm here to report that I reaped my first member benefit this week! The postman delivered a package with (2) brand new boxes of Chex Mix Turtle bars.

I was excited to see them because I knew my husband and son would LOVE them. I must admit that I've never been much of a "bar" person but these have me hooked! They are delicious! Not too sweet like I find most other bars. They have a just-right sweetness and somewhat salty flavor that I really like!

If you have time check out MyBlogSpark or the new Chex Mix Turtle bars. I'm enjoying them both!

Now through July 11th you can use this coupon to save $20 off your purchase of $75 or more at Office Depot.

Prefer going to Staples? Check with your local Staples Store Manager. Our Staples Store Manager price matches and accepts competitor's coupons!

Going to Wendy's?

If you are going to Wendy's, here's a coupon for $1 off. Enjoy!

Attn: Allergy Sufferers!

Having just had surgery on my sinuses I was prescribed 2 nasal sprays. Fortunately for you I now have two really good deals to share!

Nasacort: $20 off per prescription
Nasonex: $15 off per prescription

I filled my Nasacort but forgot to redeem the $20 manufacturer coupon. I was really bummed out until I read the back of the coupon that said I could send it in with my receipt (label from the prescription bag) and receive a $20 rebate by mail.

While your price may vary depending on your insurance plan copay or out of pocket expense, after my rebate, I'll only pay $4 for the prescription.

I filled my Nasonex and this time I remembered to redeem the $15 manufacturer coupon. The pharmacist took it off without a problem and I paid about $10 for my prescription!

I was happy my doctor told me about these manufacturer coupons and I was able to save $35!

Spiegel: 25% Off (Semi-Steal)

Spiegel is offering an additional 25% off their entire site when you use code 187 at check out.

Doing a quick browse, that could result in some inexpensive women's swimwear, as a good bit of it is on markdown from 50% - 85%.

While I don't feel the $4.99 shipping charge is unreasonable, I must admit I DON'T LIKE the handling fee of $1.95, so buyer beware. But if you're in the market for a new article to add to your wardrobe, this deal isn't too shabby.

Make this deal even sweeter (and perhaps defer the handling charge) by:
  • going through ebates for 3% back
  • going through mypoints for 2 points per dollar

I'm Back!!!

I'm not going to make you read through any gorey details but I'm finally feeling somewhat better.

While I was away, the steals have been piling up, so let's get back to the giveaway and steals!

See Ya in a Few!

Weis: 6/11 - 6/17

I had a good little run at Weis this week. I picked up:

(5) Gillette shampoo
(5) Gillette body wash
(2) packs of Huggies Supreme diapers
(3) boxes of Aunt Jemima Low Fat waffles

All of this for about $8. Here's what I did and how you can do it too!

The Gillette are on sale for $3.49 and there is a catalina deal where you get $5 off instantly when you buy one hair care & one body wash and use your Weis club card.

There are $1 coupons in the 6/7 Proctor & Gamble coupon insert and in the Proctor & Gamble coupon booklet that came out several months ago.

So you have:

$3.49 hair care
$3.49 body wash
($5 off instantly)
($1 manufacturer coupon)
($1 manufacturer coupon)
FREE

I divided up my purchases into 5 transactions so I could get all 5 sets of Gillette.

The Huggies are marked down 50% to $5.49. Rumor has it that the packaging will be changing due to shrinking packages. Many stores are marking their diapers down.

I had two $3 coupons from a Huggies home mailer and there are also $1.50 coupons floating around.

When I compile a bunch of eligible items, I will submit my Huggies receipt for the Caregivers Marketplace refund. I'll get back .75 cents for each pack of Huggies.

Also, since I purchased the Huggies Supreme, I will be credited $1.50 from the eCoupon in my Upromise account.

So you have:

$5.49 Huggies pack 1
$5.49 Huggies pack 2
($3 manufacturer coupon)
($3 manufacturer coupon)
(.75 cents Caregivers rebate)
(.75 cents Caregivers rebate)
($1.50 Upromise eCoupon)
.99 cents per pack!

The Aunt Jemima waffles were only $1. I didn't have any coupons on me but at just 1 buck for 16 waffles, it was worth it to me, so I picked up 3!

Are there any other good deals that you got at Weis this week?

Thanks for the heads up on the Huggies, Alice!

CVS: Nearly FREE Pampers!

Update: the $5 ECB posting is no longer on the CVS website. Lesson learned- print while the printing is good!

Pampers jumbo packs of diapers and Easy Ups are on sale this week at CVS for $8.99. There is a limit of 3. According to the CVS website, you receive $5 Extra Care Bucks (ECBs) from 6/7 - 6/13.

When you purchase your Pampers with a $1 coupon from the Sunday Proctor & Gamble insert, or with a $2 coupon from the Proctor & Gamble coupon book that was released a few months ago, you can get $1.99 or $2.99 diapers! Even if you don't have a coupon, $3.99 per pack is a steal too!

Here's how it will work:

Transaction 1-
(1) jumbo pack of Pampers diapers, $8.99
minus $2 manufacturer coupon (I have many of these thanks to DiPaola Momma!)
pay $6.99
receive $5 in ECBs

Transaction 2-
(1) jumbo pack of Pampers diapers, $8.99
minus $2 manufacturer coupon
minus $5 in ECBs from Transaction 1
pay $1.99

Transaction 3-
(1) jumbo pack of Pampers diapers, $8.99
minus $2 manufacturer coupon
minus $5 in ECBs from Transaction 2
pay $1.99
earn $5 in ECBs for my next transaction!

Be sure to print the webpage from CVS.com because if your ECBs don't print all you need to do is show them your website print out and they will give them to you.

Happy saving!

Walgreens: Super Cheap TP & Kleenex!

I was at our local Walgreens earlier today getting an ink cartridge refilled when I decided to walk the aisles in search of deals. I'm super-excited that I did because look at this haul!

For some reason, our Walgreens store had toilet paper and Kleenex tissues on clearance. The Charmin Ultra Big Roll 12 pks (equivalent to 24 regular rolls) were $2.49. I had (6) $1 off any Charmin manufacturer coupons making them just $1.49 each. The Angel Soft 4 pks were .47 cents and the Kleenex Ultra and 184 Count were .57 cents!

I hit the stationary aisle and found a couple more steals. The lined 4x4 Post It notes were $1.29. My son needed these for school earlier this year and they were approx. $4/$5 at WalMart. I figured I'd pick them up at this price just in case we need them again at the end of August. There were also generic "post its" for .25 cents so I snagged the last 2.

You may have noticed the Bayer Blood Glucose Meter. I only picked it up because they paid me $10 to take it. I donate any meters I pick up to Grandmom Hart's nursing home so it's a win/win!

The Bayer Meters are on sale this week for $10. I had a $30 coupon from the Sunday paper. The cashier adjusted my coupon down to $10 making the meter free. At checkout the register generated a $10 Register Reward which is basically a $10 coupon good towards my next in-store purchase.

I split my purchases up into 4 transactions. You can see from my receipts below I got:
  • (7) Charmin 12 pks, $2.49 ea minus $6 in coupons
  • (12) Angel Soft 4 pks, .47 cents ea
  • (2) Kleenex Ultra, .57 cents ea
  • (1) Kleenex 184 ct, .57 ea
  • (1) Post It Notes , $1.29 ea
  • (2) Generic post its, $.25 cents ea
  • (1) Bayer Blood Glucose Meter, $10 minus $10 coupon
I had gotten (3) Women's One-A-Day drink mixes but returned them because the machine beeped at my coupon and the cashier wouldn't take it. It was a legit coupon but I didn't feel like arguing...

I only paid $12.18 for everything in the picture! The regular price of the Charmin alone was a little over $9 so you can imagine the savings. Adding up the "Total Savings" from the receipts I saved $174.47. Woo hoo!

If you have the chance, stop by your local Walgreens to see if they have TP and Kleenex on clearance too!
